Information and Registration
Rockland Community College may cancel classes at its discretion. If a class is cancelled by the college, registrants will be notified and receive a full tuition refund. The college reserves the right to change instructors as necessary. The college does not always share opinions, advice and beliefs expressed in classes.
Refunds - Students who withdraw from a class and notify the Center for Personal & Professional Development at 8450574-4151 at least 24 hours prior to the first class (excluding weekends) are entitled to a tuition refund. No refunds are made thereafter. Refunds may take 4-6 weeks to be processed. Mail your request to Rockland Community College, Center for Personal & Professional Development, 145 College Road, Suffern, NY 10901 or fax to 845-574-4163. The following exceptions apply:
- Motorcycle classes
- Health Professional classes require one week notice
- Trips require two weeks' notice
- Job training programs have a separate refund policy
On-Site Programs - On-site programs can be designed to meet the learningneeds of your business or organization. For information, please contact theCenter for Personal and Professional Development at (845) 574-4227.
Tax Deductions - Continuing education expenses (tuition, travel, meals and lodging) for courses taken to maintain and improve professional skills may be tax deductible.
Texts - Some courses may require the purchase of a textbook. The SUNY Rockland Community College Bookstore is located on the main campus andwill have a listing of required books for purchase. For information, please call (845) 574-4752 or visit http://ww.efollett.com
Inclement Weather Cancellation - In the event of inclement weather/snow or other emergency, a class may be canceled. Please call (845) 574-4034 for up-to-date information or visit www.cancellations.com
Continuing Education Units (CEU's) - Professional contact hours are provided when courses are approved by the appropriate professional organization. The CEU is applicable towards continuing education. One CEU is awarded for ONE contact hour of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction and qualified instruction. Ask us about getting your CEU certificate.

Course Confirmation - If you have registered for a workshop, you will not receive a confirmation for your registration. Show up for your course. You will be contacted only in the event of cancellation. If your course is canceled, you will receive a refund.
Our instructors do not use the college as a way of selling services or products. If you believe this policy is being abused please call the dean at (845) 574-4465. We reserve the right to correct any errors on our web site or in printed materials. All fees subject to change. Terms, content and brochure format are copyrighted. Any use, reproduction, imitation or other infringement is prohibited.
