English as a Second Language
Up one levelDo you want to improve your English? Do you or a family member want to study English but can't because of work or family obligations? Do you want to learn English on a college campus from qualified instructors? If the answer is yes to these questions, then the English as a Second Language Program at Rockland Community College is the program for you. Courses may be taken at your convenience weekdays, evenings, or Saturdays. Each course is three or four hours per week and is taught by an experienced teacher. You may take one, two or three courses each semester, depending on your needs. Students are placed in the appropriate course after a short placement test. Students will be awarded a certificate after successful completion of each course. We use the latest techniques and materials. Our classes take place at Rockland Community College's main campus and extension center. For more information about our ESL programs, please call Dave Kalter, (845) 574-4384.
