Nicole Hanaburgh came to the College in 1987 as Instructor of Electrical Technology, served as an Associate Professor for five years, and since 1999 has been a full professor in Computer Networking/Cyber Security. She was Division Chair of Business and Technology from 2006 to 2011, responsible for 10 departments covering a broad range of disciplines, from Computer Studies to Automotive Technology to Pluralism and Diversity.

An RCC graduate with an AAS in Electrical Technology, Professor Hanaburgh developed the College’s AAS degree program in Local Area Network Administration, which was later renamed Computer Networking and then Cyber Security. She obtained approval for the College as a Cisco Systems Networking Academy and Microsoft Authorized Academic Training Partner. She has taught various courses encompassing such topics as Windows configurations, desktop support, server and network administration, and wireless networking.
