Biography

Karen Sunshine, PhD, joined the College as a full-time faculty member in 1993 and earned the rank of full Professor in 1996. Among the courses she has taught are Principles of American Government, International Relations and Current Issues. Before starting her full-time teaching career at RCC, Dr. Sunshine taught both undergraduate and graduate students at Long Island University.

Dr. Sunshine has co-authored eight editions of the textbook American Government and Politics in the New Millennium with a ninth, e-book edition scheduled for fall 2014 publication. Dr. Sunshine is involved in many organizations and committees in addition to advising pre-law students at RCC.
