Elizabeth Kendall, Associate Vice President (AVP) of Resource Development was appointed to dually serve as the Interim Executive Director of the RCC Foundation. Elizabeth reports to Dr. Michael Baston and is responsible for obtaining funding to help support the College’s mission, goals and objectives.

Kendall collaborates closely with President Baston and senior administration to build philanthropic support and revenue for key initiatives aligned with the College’s strategic plan and institutional goals, to meet the needs of RCC’s students, support faculty, and maintain the College’s facilities to create a safe environment conducive to learning.

As AVP of Resource Development, Elizabeth was instrumental in raising more than $22 million in financial support for the College and related projects. She arrived at RCC in 2013 with a wide range of experience: 12 years of fund-raising and nonprofit development; 10 years of grant writing and event planning; and more than 16 years teaching students of diverse backgrounds in settings such as after-school and summer programs.

As executive director of a nonprofit education and enrichment organization in Oakland, CA, she secured funding to provide year-round programming for more than 1,000 youth annually. She also worked closely with local colleges such as UC Berkeley to recruit students for employment and develop coursework for new teachers.

After moving back to New York in 2010, Kendall served as a development consultant, securing more than $5 million in new multi-year funding for a nonprofit agency in fiscal year 2013, and as grants manager for Inwood House, a multi-million-dollar agency, from 2010 to 2012. Kendall received a BS in biology from Stony Brook University, SUNY, and an MA in education from Argosy University in California.
