Computer Studies offers options to meet the needs of students who are interested in transferring to a four-year college as well as those who plan to enter the job market directly after graduation. Students can choose from a variety of degrees, certificates, and individual courses.
Degrees give students an opportunity to specialize in computers while becoming exposed to a variety of liberal arts courses. Two degree concentrations are available -- Computer Information Systems emphasizes programming skills while Computer Support Systems emphasizes application and PC management skills.
Certificates, for people who choose to focus on computer skills, are available in both specializations above as well as in Computer Web Development. This certificate trains people in Web page development as well as Web programming. Prerequisites for courses may be waived for those with life experience.
