Volunteer Program

From one volunteer at the Robert Yeager Health Center in 1973, RSVP has grown to more than 500 volunteers. These volunteers are actively assisting more than 100 non-profit organizations and county agencies in providing services to 300,000 or more Rockland residents. Last year RSVP members served nearly 105,000 hours. With a dollar value of $27.32 per hour for their work, according to Independent Sector a coalition that promotes philanthropy, they contributed over $2,500,000 in service to Rockland County.

Becoming an RSVP volunteer is simple. The only eligibility requirement is that you're age 55 or above and have time you can spare. You don't have to be retired.
