5th Annual Sports Hall of Fame Dinner

Join Rockland Community College's Athletic Department and alumni in celebrating the College’s honored alumni athletes and coaches.

Class of 2012:

• Joseph Romano '64 (Wresting & Soccer) - A longtime successful soccer coach at Goshen High School, Romano was a member of the RCC soccer team in the early 1960’s
• Tom McNamara '85 (Baseball) - An All-Conference baseball player at RCC, McNamara later played at Dominican College and briefly for the Seattle Mariners organization. He is now the Director of Amateur Scouting for the Mariners
• Lucia Lopez-Patterson '93 (Soccer & Softball) - A two-sports standout at RCC. She led the NJCAA in batting with a .627 average and a .966 slugging percentage during her freshman year in softball.
• Jack Watson '90 (Golf) - Professor of Sport and Exercise Psychology and Chair of the Department of Sport Sciences at West Virginia University. At RCC he was a member of the Golf Team and qualified for the NJCAA National Championship twice, earned All-America honors.
• Kurt Palmer '96 (Soccer) - A member of the 1993 Men's Soccer team that won the Region XV Championship and advanced to the NJCAA Tournament. He earned All-Mid Hudson Conference First Team and All-Region XV Second Team.
• Dr. Cliff L. Wood service Award recipient - Suffern Police Chief Clarke Osborn

Since 1960, SUNY Rockland Athletics has produced 50 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Americans, and more than 50 former student-athletes have become coaches after their playing career

The admission price of $50 includes a cocktail hour, hors d’ouvers, open bar, salad, pasta, prime rib, coffee, dessert and dancing.
