Gerri Zabusky, LMSW, ACSW, has held the position of Director of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Rockland County since 2005.  RSVP, sponsored nationally by the Corporation for National and Community Service and locally by Rockland Community College (RCC), provides interesting and rewarding civic engagement opportunities for more than 450 men and women age 55 and older who lend their energy, expertise and enthusiasm to more than 95 non-profit agencies in Rockland County.  In 2015, RSVP volunteers donated more than 80,000 hours of their time and expertise to their Rockland neighbors!!

From 2000-2004, Gerri worked for RCC as the Counselor/Coordinator for the Student Support Services Federal Grant Program.  Prior to that, she worked for Rockland County BOCES as the Adult Education Counselor for their ESL/GED and Short Term Job Training Programs as well as the YMHA (now known as the JCC) as a Facilitator of “Mommy and Me” classes as well as the Singles and Widow and Widower groups.

Gerri currently serves on the Board of Directors of People to People and the Mental Health Association of Rockland County where she is the 1st Vice President.  She is also on the Advisory Councils of the Rockland County Office for the Aging, and the YMCA’s Family Court Childcare Center.

Gerri was graduated with honors in psychology from City College of New York where she received her B.A. She earned her MSW from New York University.
