Public Speaking with Confidence

 

 

This course is an introduction to public speaking focusing on building confidence in communicating in front of an audience.  Students will learn how to craft different types of speeches customized to the particular audience they are addressing that includes good content, organization, delivery, audience and analysis.  Techniques will also be taught to help alleviate fear and anxiety when speaking in public.  Students will develop strategies to increase confidence when giving an oral presentation to small or large groups.

INSTRUCTOR: Dr. Elena Murphy has been an educator for 23 years in the college classroom.  She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Masters in Special Education, and a Bachelor’s in Human Development.
