Homo Sapiens Neanderthalis: The First Italians?

Italian Heritage Month Event
The oldest Neanderthal DNA ever found was discovered in a skeleton in southern Italy. The fossilized hominin skeleton, which was in an excellent state of preservation, was discovered near the town of Altamura, in the region of Puglia.

Giuseppe Verdi

Giuseppe Verdi was one of the pre-eminent opera composers in history. He was admired and loved, not only for his amazing operatic compositions, but also for his support of the Risorgimento (reunification) of Italy. We’ll discuss his life and times and focus on four of his operas: Aida, Rigoletto, Il Trovatore, and La Traviata.
