Multicultural & First-Generation Student Services

Who We Serve

Representing one-third of the student population, students of color bring to the College a multi-ethnic, multicultural diversity that enriches the entire campus. Services for this population relate directly to the educational, career, social and personal needs of African-American, Caribbean, Asian, Haitian, Latino/a, and Native-American students.

What We Do

Multicultural & First-Generation Student Services provides a variety of services that encourage and support multicultural and first-generation students to achieve their personal, social and academic goals in college and in life. Services include First-Generation College Student Program, academic advisement, scholarship information, clarifying educational goals, strategies for college success, transfer assistance, leadership development workshops, personal development workshops and personal counseling. Through a variety of workshops, activities and events students will become more familiar with resources and services that will assist them in completing their personal and educational goals.
