Dr. Michael J. Gill '92 is “Making it Happen”

As principal of North Rockland High School, and in his prior positions as principal of West Haverstraw Elementary School and assistant principal at James A. Farley Middle School in Stony Point, Michael J. Gill, EdD, tries to impart the same message to students: “Hard Work = Success,” and the idea that they have the power to “Make It Happen!”

Throughout his college career at RCC, Gill worked hard to “make it happen” for himself—while also helping care for his little sister and holding a steady job. He graduated from the RCC Honors program and praised the College for its “strong academic reputation” and being “the best financial arrangement for me and my family.”

Gill later earned a BA in Law & Society at SUNY Binghamton, an MS in Special Education at City College, CUNY, an Advanced Certificate in Educational Administration and Supervision at Hunter College, CUNY, and a Doctor of Education at Fordham University.

He lives in Garnerville with his wife, Colleen, and two daughters.
