Alumni Association Scholarship

Criteria:
One (1) one-year, full tuition scholarship for a child or sibling of an alumnus who will be attending Rockland Community College on a full-time basis. The parent or sibling must be an alumnus of Rockland Community College. Student/Applicant must plan to enroll at Rockland Community College for the following academic year.

Art Department Faculty Scholarship

Criteria:
This Art Department scholarship for an entering freshman will be awarded to a promising art student who is interested in pursuing an art degree. Announcement of the scholarship made through the Rockland Art Educators Association and area high schools.

Arthur Mikayelian Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:
Established in memory of Arthur Mikayelian, a long-time resident of Rockland County who believed that one should not only live in a community, but also be an active member of that community. This memorial scholarship is for a newly entering student who graduated from a Rockland County public school. The student must have maintained an 80% unweighted average and have participated in community service for at least a two-year period during their high school career. Preference may be given (but is not limited to) a child or sibling of a military veteran or police officer. Only current high school seniors may apply for this scholarship.

Fletcher Scholarship Trust Fund

Criteria:
The Fletcher Scholarship was established in memory of Rockland County resident Milton Fletcher to benefit graduates of Rockland County high schools who wish to pursue a college education. The course of study must be purposeful and have an intended goal that will be socially useful. All applicants must be graduates of a Rockland County high school and must be a resident of Rockland County for at least one year. Applicants must not be recipients of public assistance but must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Rockland Community College's Financial Aid Office. The Fletcher Fund shall provide a full tuition scholarship to attend Rockland Community College for one year. (Applicants must complete a Financial Aid (FAFSA) Application available in the Financial Aid Office)

Heinz Ahlmeyer Memorial Scholarship

Rockland Community College in conjunction with friends of Heinz Ahlmeyer
Criteria:
This scholarship honors the memory of Heinz Ahlmeyer, First Lieutenant United States Marine Corps, a Pearl River resident and former student at Rockland Community College, for his ultimate sacrifice for our country during the Vietnam War. Heinz was also co-captain of the 1963 wrestling team and a member of the soccer team while at Rockland Community College. Applicants must be graduates of Pearl River High School, active participants in athletics and must have been involved in community service. The recipient must have a high school GPA of 2.5.

The Isaac Raisman Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:
The Isaac Raisman Memorial Scholarship was created by the Raisman Family to honor the life of their beloved son and brother Isaac. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage a high school junior who is seeking new challenges and interested in expanding their horizons beyond the high school experience. The prospective scholarship recipient MUST be an early admit student entering the Rockland Community College Mentor Talented Student Program for Fall 2010.

Ramapo Lodge #485 Knights of Pythias Scholarship Association

Criteria:
Established by the Knights of Pythias for two (2) graduating seniors from a Rockland County high school, to be used for educational expenses at Rockland Community College. Must be active in school and community service. Financial need considered. Interview required by Knights of Pythias Scholarship Association. Only current high school seniors may apply for this scholarship.
Rockland Negro Scholarship Fund, Inc.

Criteria:
Established in memory of Henry Arrington and Karen Fowlkes, both very active members of the Liberty Partnership Program based at Rockland Community College. Applicants must be of African- American descent, U.S. citizen and a Rockland County resident. An interview is required. Only current high school seniors may apply for this scholarship.
