Bohnel/Nadal Scholarship
In memory of Emil and Emma Bohnel, and to honor Robert Nadal, former Rockland Community College Baseball Coach
Scholarship Amount:
$1,000.00 education credit
Selection Authority:
RCC Baseball Coach
Criteria:
Must be a Rockland Community College baseball player
Must be a Rockland County high school graduate.
Academic achievement considered
Must enroll at RCC the following fall semester
Billy Cronk Scholarship
In memory of Billy Cronk, former Rockland Community College Baseball player. Provides educational assistance.
Scholarship Amount:
One (1) year full tuition & one (1) $800.00 semester scholarship education credit
Selection Authority:
RCC Athletic Director & Baseball Coach
Criteria:
Must be a Rockland Community College baseball player
Must enroll at RCC the following fall semester.
Edwin Greene Scholarship
In honor of Edwin Greene, former Rockland Community College Athletic Director.
Scholarship Amount:
$700.00 education credit
Selection Authority:
Physical Education Department Coordinator
Criteria:
Must demonstrate interest in physical education.
Must enroll at RCC the following fall semester.
Joseph Grasso Memorial Scholarship
In memory of Joseph Grasso, a long time educator and coach in the Ramapo Central School District.
Scholarship Amount:
$500.00 education credit to college of choice
Selection Authority:
RCC Athletic Director & members of the Physical Education Department
Criteria:
Must be a graduate of Suffern Senior High School intending to enroll in a four-year educational institution.
Must have participated in the sports program at RCC
Must have a 2.0 GPA or higher
Michelle Despinasse Scholarship
In memory of Michelle Despinasse, Rockland Community College Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach, and former student athlete.
Scholarship Amount:
$750.00 check
Selection Authority:
The Michelle Despinasse Scholarship Committee
Criteria:
Must be a graduating RCC student/athlete, intending to enroll in a four-year educational institution
Must demonstrate superior academic effort, and financial need.
Finalists must be available to meet Mrs. Denise Despinasse and Ms. Angie Despinasse.
Other Requirements:
Student must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid Form.
Rockland Tennis Club/Harvey Pine Scholarship
Established by the Rockland Tennis Club to honor the memory of Harvey Pine, an educator and coach for over 40 years and to honor the memory of other members of the club.
Scholarship Amount:
$250.00 education credit
Selection Authority:
Physical Education Department Coordinator & members of the Athletic Department
Criteria:
Must be currently enrolled at RCC
Must have been a member of a Rockland Athletic Program.
Must have a 2.0 GPA or higher
Must enroll at RCC the following fall semester
Rockland Tennis Club/Larry Roder Scholarship
Established by the Rockland Tennis Club to honor the memory of Larry Roder.
Scholarship Amount:
$200.00 education credit
