Scholarships

Applications for 2008-2009 scholarships are available. 

 

Each year, the Rockland Community College Foundation awards over $100,000 scholarships to incoming, continuing/returning, and graduating students. Recipients of these scholarships are selected based on criteria which could include academic achievement, athletic or artistic talents, member of underrepresented groups, resident of the county, high school attended, and demonstrated financial need.

 

Application procedures vary according to scholarship type and criteria. Availability and descriptions of scholarships are subject to change without notice.

 

New Students

Incoming students are defined as current high school seniors completing course work at their high school, at Rockland Community College (early admit) or new adult students who have never attended Rockland Community College. For either group of applicants, you may not have completed more than nine college credits at any college or university.

 

New students are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible, but if there are one or more particular scholarships in which you are interested, please be sure to note that at the end of your scholarship essay.

 

Continuing, Returning and Graduating Students

Students in these group may apply for a maximum of five (5) scholarship for which they are eligible. Students must submit a completed application form, two recommendation from faculty members (except as noted), and other needed documents and forms to:

These scholarships are awarded by the College's Scholarship Committee (except where noted) during the Scholarship Awarding Ceremony held during the spring semester.
