International Orientation

Welcome to RCC!

We look forward to seeing you on campus soon! Be sure to check Applying for an F1 Visa and Housing for International Students pages to ensure that you are completing all the requirements necessary prior to your arrival.

International Student Services hosts International Orientation for all new international students approximately 1 week prior to the start of classes (the start date on your I-20). Attendance is mandatory for all new students!  It is your responsibility to ensure that you have enough time to apply for an F1 visa and arrive to the College to attend International Orientation.

Start dates for the semester are not flexible and students MUST report to the College by the first week of classes.

Placement Testing & Class Registration

For Students Needing Testing Only

All new RCC students are required to do Math and English placement testing prior to registering for classes. Some exemptions are available.

Dates are available for testing prior to January 16. Please make sure to look at the testing schedule. January 16 has been set aside for any international students who cannot test prior to this date. It is encouraged to test prior to January 16 if you can, as this will allow you to register for classes earlier.

Please be sure to check out our testing resource page to help prepare yourself for the placement exams.

Testing can take about 3 hours to complete. Make sure to bring pencil/pen and photo ID (passport).

BRING YOUR PASSPORTS AND A PEN/PENCIL WITH YOU.

NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED WHEN TESTING.
