First-Time User of myRCC

Please follow these steps to set up your myRCC account if you are a first-time user.

  1. Go to myrcc.sunyrockland.edu in your Internet browser. We recommend that you use Google Chrome, if possible.
  2. Click on the First Time User link located just below the Login button to get started.

  3. Please enter your username in the Answer field. Your username is indicated in the email that you have received from Admission/Records. Click Next.

  4. Enter your personal email address in the Answer field. This will be used for Account Recovery. Click Next.

  5. Enter your First Name on the Answer field. Click Submit.

  6. You will be prompted to create your password. Your password must satisfy the following password policy requirements:
    • Must be at least 12 characters
    • Must contain at least one upper-case character
    • Must contain at least one lower-case character
    • For more security, we suggest your password should be a phrase such as “My Dog Loves to be walked” or “The sun rises in the East”.
  7. You will now be automatically redirected to myRCC to login with your new credentials. Login with your new credentials.
  8. You will now be directed to re-enter your password.  Enter your password in the Password field and click the Sign in button, which will take you to Account Recovery Settings.

  9. You are now in Account Recovery Settings. Follow the instructions on the page to set up your Security Questions. Click on Submit when you are done.

  10. Click on Back to myRCC button once you have submitted your Security Questions. You will be then asked to choose which categories you want to receive updates within myRCC Connect applet.

  11. Choose the categories and click Done. You can always change your preferences later by going to your Profile.
