Peer Mentoring in Learning Communities at RCC

What is a Peer Mentor?

Peer Mentors are successful students at RCC who want to help you get the most out of being an RCC student.  Peer Mentors work with you, your professors, and other members of the campus community to make sure your questions are answered.  You can ask them about using your RCC email account, taking online courses, preparing to go to Academic Advisement, using Financial Aid, choosing a major at RCC, or other student issues.  They can help you navigate the campus, and direct you to the appropriate academic or administrative departments that you may need.
In addition, Peer Mentors can help you in the classroom by providing helpful hints about how to do well in your courses at RCC. They can also tell you about interesting and fun opportunities outside of the classroom--events, clubs, trips, special activities.
Peer Mentors will be available to assist you during the entire semester of the learning community.
