Business - Entrepreneurship Certificate Requirements

I. English, Social Science, Science, Mathematics, Arts And Sciences,
Unrestricted Electives, Physical Education (Not Required For This Certificate)

Although there is no specific English or mathematics requirement for this certificate, students must take the English and mathematics assessments. In order to graduate, they must be assessed at ENG 101 (or higher) and MAT 101 (or higher) or receive a passing grade in the required English Skills or pre-MAT 101 course(s).

 

II. Concentration Area (30 - 31 Credits Required )

Core Requirements (30 - 31 credits)

MKT 201 Marketing (3 cr)
BUS 203 Business Law 1 (3 cr)
MGT/OFT 111 Spreadsheet and Database Management (3 - 4 cr) (or select one of the following by advisement: MGT 101, MGT 219, CSP 101, or ACC 210)
ACC 101 Accounting 1 (4 cr)
FIN 201 Entrepreneurial Finance (3 cr)
BUS 215 E-Commerce (3 cr)
BUS/PHL 260 Ethics in Business (3 cr)
MGT 207 Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship (3 cr)
CSP 149 Web Page Development (4 cr)
OFT 912 Keyboarding (1 cr) (is required if students can not pass the keyboarding test requirement of 20 wpm.)

 

Total: 30 - 31 credits

 

NOTE: Students must consult with a faculty advisor in the Business Discipline each semester to plan their course of study.

 

Although there is no specific mathematics requirement for this degree, students must take the mathematics assessment. In order to graduate, they must be assessed at MAT 101 (or higher) or receive a passing grade in the required pre-MAT 101 course(s).
