Automotive Technology Requirements
A.A.S.

I. English (6 Credits Required)

ENG 101 English Composition I (3 cr)
ENG 102 English Composition II (3 cr)

 

II. Pluralism and Diversity (3 Credits Required)

PDA 110 Pluralism and Diversity in Business and Industry (or equivalent by advisement) (3 cr)

 

III. Social Science (6 Credits Required)

Select courses from the following codes by advisement: ANR, ECO, GEO, HIS, POL, PSY, SOC.


IV. Mathematics (3 Credits Required)

Select MAT101 or higher at the highest appropriate level by placement *

*NOTE: Students should be aware that many four-year colleges do not accept Math 101 for transfer credit. Policies toward granting credit for Math 102 will vary among four-year colleges.

 

V. Science (3 Credits Required)

Select a course at the appropriate level from the following codes: BIO, CHM, ENR, PHY, SCI.

 

VI. Humanities (Not Required For This Degree)

 

VII. Art and Sciences (Not Required For This Degree)

 

VIII. Unrestricted Electives (3 Credits Required)

Any three credits with:

CSP 101 Introduction to Computers (recommended) (3 cr)

Students who are not placed in an apprenticeship will enroll in a 1-credit equivalent NATEF Module, AUT 891-895.

Apprenticeship students will enroll in a 1 credit equivalent Automotive Apprenticeship, AUT 171-175.

NOTE: Students must consult with a faculty advisor in the Automotive Technology Department each semester to plan their course of study.
