Nursing in Community Settings


This course is designed to introduce practicing AD or diploma prepared RNs, Licensed Practical Nurses or AD nursing students to basic concepts of community bases practice. Issues and trends related to the transition from hospital based to community-based health care are explored and the role of the nurse in ambulatory care settings, the home, and in special service settings is examined.


Prerequisite: NUR 111 and NUR 113 or RN License or LPN License
