Advanced Nursing Skills
The focus of this course is advanced nursing skills commonly used in the care of acutely ill patients. Theory related to therapeutic base and safe implementation of skills is presented in the classroom and hands-on practice is provided in the laboratory setting. Specific topics include ECG, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, cardioversion/defibillation, TPN, peritoneal dialysis, venipuncture and airway and ventilator management.
Pre or Co-Requisite: NUR 241, RN or LPN license or permission of the Discipline Coordinator.
