American Sign Language II

4 hours, 4 credits. Prerequisite: ASL 101 or permission of instructor. ASL 102 is the second semester of a one-year course. ASL 102 continues to expand a core vocabulary and develop the student ability to use ASL grammar to promote fundamental communication/conversational skills. It is designed to include further investigation of deaf culture. Students will participate in independent/group projects, interactive activities and videotaping. Class will meet for four hours a week for fifteen weeks.
