3 hours, 2 credits. This introductory studio course is a prerequisite for Drawing Concepts and Figure Drawing II. Based on the study of the nude human figure, the course is designed to build seeing skills, visual literacy and critical faculties. Students will learn to work with line, space, composition, gesture, dark and light.
