Cultural Anthropology
May be taken as a telecourse. Also offered in an Honors section. 3 hours, 3 credits. An introduction to central concepts, major research methods and new trends. Through a cross-cultural perspective, the course examines the values, behavior and social relationships within marriage and kinship systems and religious, economic and political institutions. It also explores the relationship between culture and the individual, as well as the forces involved in social change.
