Physical Education Studies
The degree program is designed for individuals who would like to major in Physical Education and transfer to a four-year institution. Students may obtain 65 credits and with proper planning, students can complete 8 out of 10 transferable SUNY general education courses. Students may then transfer to majoring institutions and concentrate on their core courses in Physical Education or related fields.
Mission of the Program
The mission of this degree program is to form a foundation and prepare students who would like to pursue a four-year degree in Physical Education, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Recreation, or any other sport, health or wellness related field. The program combines liberal arts and introductory courses in science, psychology, math and English with physical education theory and activity classes. The courses of study allow students to either transfer to a four-year institution or further careers in education by obtaining an Associates degree in Physical Education Studies. Students will obtain 65 credits and with proper planning, students can complete 8 out of 10 transferable SUNY general education courses.
