SUNY Rockland Community College Nursing Program prepares Registered Nurses. Graduates receive an AS degree in nursing and are eligible to take the National Council Examination (NCLEX) required for licensing as a Registered Nurse. The program is fully accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC, 61 Broadway, NY, NY 10006. Phone 800 - 669-1656 ext 153).

The goals of the Associate Degree Nursing Program at SUNY Rockland Community College are to:
- meet the needs of the community for individuals who are both informed citizens and registered nurses.
- provide access into practive as a registered nurse and the foundation for baccalaureate and higher education in nurisng for all who desire it.
SUNY Rockland Community College's Nursing Program is registered by the State Education Department and fully accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). When students successfully complete the SUNY Rockland Community College Nursing Program, they will be awarded the Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree and will be eligible to apply to take the National Council Examination required for licensing as a Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN).
