Geography is the social science that deals with the earth and life upon the earth. It is concerned with the impact of geographical realities upon the development of various cultures and human responses to the environment and environmental changes. Like all the social sciences, geography is a valuable part of a liberal education.
Students interested in geography often pursue the following degree program: Liberal Arts and Sciences Humanities and Social Science (A.A.). Geography study is particularly useful for students considering careers in international trade and business.
