Good Samaritan Hospital Scholarship

Beginning in 2002, Good Samaritan Hospital began offering an annual $5,000 scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to one Rockland County EMS volunteer each year.

Each ambulance corps in Rockland County is eligible to nominate one volunteer each year. A committee composed of staff from Good Samaritan Hospital, Rockland Paramedic Services, and Rockland Community College reviews the applications and selects one person to receive this scholarship. Applicants are judged by their commitment to EMS, their dedication to furthering their education, and their past contributions to our EMS community. The recipient is announced at the annual Rockland County EMS Dinner.
