A 3D printing lab, high-tech classrooms and a Business Innovation Mall are among the exciting new features offered at RCC’s Haverstraw Center. Credit courses taken at the center may be applied toward all of RCC's degree and certificate programs.
Students learn in modern classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Classrooms offer individual computers built into each desk and images are projected onto a screen from a lens built into the ceiling.
The facility includes eight classrooms, a student lounge/internet cafe, a faculty advising room, a conference room and reception/gallery area, all overseen by a 24-hour state-of-the-art security system.
The 3D Printing Smart Lab is the centerpiece of a recent $1.5 million expansion of Haverstraw Center that features services to promote advanced manufacturing, business and employment. The lab provides a “proof-of-concept” sandbox environment, supported by students and faculty in RCC’s Computer Assisted Design (CAD) program. The 9,000-square-foot expansion includes three 3D printers, a 3D scanner, a science/wet lab, four CAD workstations and six new classrooms/training rooms.
The Business Innovation Mall provides support for businesses and job seekers in the areas of finance, marketing, IT, sales, HR and more.
Credit Courses are offered at the Center in many subjects including Accounting, English, Psychology, Math, English as a Second Language (ESL) and Computer Science. Continuing Education also offers many non-credit courses.
Advisors are available twice a week during seasonal advisement sessions to assist and help students reach their academic, professional and personal goals.
