Travis Jackson

Dr. Travis E. Jackson, educator, local historian and civil rights activist lectures on the racially segregated Hillburn Brook School in Ramapo school district during the 1940s. Dr. Jackson highlighted Thurgood Marshall general counsel for the NAACP who took up the disparity case on behalf of Hillburn's African American and Native American residents. The lecture was organized by Dr. David Lucander, Multicultural Studies Department, for African American History Month. 2014
