RCC Invitation Letter for 50th Anniversary Special Projects
Rockland Community College
50 Years
Excellence · Opportunity · Diversity · Innovation
April
15, 2008
Dear Colleagues,
In 2009-2010, Rockland Community College will celebrate 50 Years of Excellence,
Opportunity, Diversity, and Innovation, and I want to formally welcome the
involvement of the entire college community to participate in planning for this
very special occasion. It is very important that all of you who have
contributed so much to RCC over the years have an opportunity to create a
special project as part of this very special celebration. I want all of you to
feel a part of our 50th Anniversary Year.
I invite faculty and staff to submit special projects in honor of Rockland
Community College’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, which can be submitted
directly on RCC’s 50th Anniversary website listed below. I am also pleased to
announce that through a special gift from the RCC Foundation, a special fund
has been set aside for 50th Anniversary Project grants ranging from $100 –
$10,000. Projects should integrate one or more of the anniversary themes: Pluralism and Diversity; Global Awareness and Interdependence; or
Environmental Enhancement and Education, and be designed to serve the campus
and community. Projects guidelines are described on the submission form, and
the deadline for submission will be June 1, 2008. Dr. Laurie Miller McNeill is
available to assist you in developing your proposals.
I look forward to hearing your ideas for celebrating Rockland Community
College’s 50th Anniversary!
Sincerely,
Dr. Cliff L. Wood
President
