Athletics

Rockland Community College offers a highly competitive athletic program within a supportive academic environment, with a strong focus on assisting student athletes in their pursuit of a four-year college degree.

Affiliations

The Rockland Hawks compete in the Mid-Hudson Conference and belong to Region XV of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Many RCC alumni advance to competing at NCAA- or NAIA-sponsored colleges or universities and several have gone on to professional sports careers as players, coaches, scouts and trainers.

Intramural Sports

The Intramural Sports Program encourages the wellness of RCC community by providing opportunities to both students and faculty/staff to engage in fun, competitive and social activities. Grab some friends, sign up your student organization, or get a group of your fellow RCC co-workers together and register for one of the various intramural tournaments. Participation in intramural sports has the potential to positively affect a person physically, socially, and mentally.

The Exercise and Human Performance Department and Athletics are continually working to expand and offer new sports and activities so be on the lookout for events that interest you! Contact Michael Murphy or call 574-4131 to learn more about current intramural sports and what’s in the works!

Intramural Sports are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the semester from 12:30 – 1:30 pm (Common Hour) in the Fieldhouse unless otherwise indicated on the intramural calendar. To participate, please bring your current valid student ID, a pair of sneakers and completed Assumption of Risk and Photo Release Form.

Need to Validate your Student ID? Visit the Public Safety Booth in the Tech Center first floor to get your ID validated each semester.

Check back in September for upcoming intramurals.
