Student Support & Scholarships


The RCC Foundation has provided more than $3 million in scholarships to students.

Support RCC

Each year, the RCC Foundation awards more than $350,000 in scholarships to incoming, continuing/returning, and graduating students, and has awarded more than $3 million in scholarships awards since its inception.

Criteria: Recipients of these scholarships are selected based on various criteria, including academic achievement, athletic or artistic talents, being a member of underrepresented groups, residing in the county, high school attended, and demonstrated financial need.

Application procedures vary according to scholarship type and criteria. Availability and descriptions of scholarships are subject to change without notice. For a complete listing please call 845-574-4403.

New Students

Incoming students are defined as current high school seniors completing course work at their high school, or at RCC as Early Admit students, or new adult students who have never attended RCC. For either group of applicants, you may not have completed more than nine college credits at any college or university.

New students are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible, but if there are one or more particular scholarships in which they are interested, they must be sure to note that at the end of their scholarship essay.

Continuing, Returning and Graduating Students

Students in these groups may apply for a maximum of five scholarships for which they are eligible. Students must submit a completed application form, two recommendations from faculty members (except as noted), and other needed documents and forms to:

These scholarships are awarded by the College's Scholarship Committee (except where noted) during the Scholarship Awards Ceremony held during the Spring semester.
