Leadership Academy

The Employee Leadership Academy program helps participants develop leadership skills. Those leadership skills are put to use as participants work in teams to complete an action learning project. It is aimed at those employees with the proven ability and desire to continue to grow in their careers and take on future leadership responsibilities. Employees who complete this program will be better equipped to maximize their contributions to the College as well as pursue leadership positions in the community.

The Leadership Academy is comprised of a series of workshops that focus on building fundamental leadership skills appropriate for formal and informal leadership roles at RCC and within our community. Learning objectives include the following:

  • Enhanced communication effectiveness for the participants.
  • Improved skills in planning, problem solving, managing stress and goal setting in a team environment.
  • A greater understanding for, and appreciation of, professional, intercultural communication and diversity.
