Win a FREE Non-Credit Course at College

Win a FREE Course at SUNY Rockland Community College

 

Course value up to $150 or credit of $150 towards any non-credit course

 

Suffern, NY - The community is invited to win a free non-credit course offered by the Center for Personal & Professional Development (CPPD) at SUNY Rockland Community College. Course value up to $150 or credit of $150 towards any non-credit course.

 

Simply fill out an online survey and your name will be entered into a random drawing.  Go to www.sunyrockland.edu/go/cppd and click on "interest survey" in the left navigation bar. Fill out the survey by March 31, 2009 to qualify.

 

The CPPD offers professional training and life enrichment opportunities for children, adults and seniors.

 

Prospective instructors interested in teaching a course can access the Web site and easily find the section on the navigation bar to Suggest or Teach a Workshop.

 

New course offerings this year include How to Build a Fun and Profitable Home-Based Business; Tone and Lose Weight; Dance Series Workshop; De-Mystifying Green Building;; Effective Parenting; The American President; and Improve your English.

 

Popular courses include Real Estate Sales Licensing Course (begins February 2), SAT Preparation (begins March 1), ServSafe  (begins February 7), and Introduction to QuickBooks (begins February 17). The Academy for Gifted and Talented Kids begins March 28.

 

The Center's clients include those from the community looking to improve their personal and/or work skills, businesses that contract with the College for specific training for their workforce, and programs specific to the healthcare industry.

 

Courses are offered on the main campus in Suffern, the Haverstraw and Spring Valley Extension Centers, and many off-campus venues. Course registration may be completed 24 hours a day at www.sunyrockland.edu/go/cppd, by fax at 845-574-4163 or toll free by phone at (888) 807-4525, ext. 4151. Registrations may also be completed by mail or in person at Rockland Community College Center for Personal & Professional Development, Brucker Hall, Room 6102, 145 College Road, Suffern, New York 10901.
