Two Administrators Promoted

Two SUNY Rockland Administrators Promoted

 

Only community college faculty member awarded Distinguished Service Professorship

 

Suffern, NY - The Rockland Community College Board of Trustees approved the promotions of two administrators.

 

Mr. Morton Meyers of New City, formerly Vice President of Finance and Administration, has been promoted to Executive Vice President. Prior to his service at Rockland, which began in 2004, he had a 14-year career with Orange County Community College, in positions that included Interim President and Executive Vice President. Meyers earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Accounting at Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY.

 

Mr. Lawrence Ferrier of Westtown, N.Y., formerly Assistant Vice President for Finance/Controller, has been promoted to Associate Vice President Finance/Controller. He has been with SUNY Rockland since 2006 and prior to that was the Director of Planning & Research at Orange County Community College, where he worked for nine years. Ferrier is a Certified Public Accountant who earned a Master of Business Administration from Marist College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance at Pace University.

 

Both administrators will remain at their current annual salary.
