"Trot for Tots" Raises Funds for Child Care Center

"Trot for Tots" at SUNY Rockland Raises Funds for New Child Care Center
Children invited to tour fire truck and ambulance
Suffern, NY - Families are invited to a fair-like walkathon that will raise funds for the new child care center at Rockland Community College, which serves area children from six weeks to 12 years of age.
Sunday, November 1
Trot for Tots!
9 - 10 a.m. (registration)
10 a.m. – Noon (walk and activities)
Admission: Donations accepted.
Location: Fieldhouse, Second Floor, Rockland Community College, 145 College Road, Suffern
Children and their parents are invited to participate in a walk around the second floor of the Fieldhouse to several stations that will include face painting, clowns and more surprises. Visit an ambulance and a fire truck, have popcorn and other refreshments and take a tour of the new Theresa Morahan Simmons Center for Children and Families, which houses the recently expanded Fun and Learn Child Development Center.
The Fun and Learn Child Development Center is open year round from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., closing only for major holidays. A few openings are still available for the pre-school and after-school programs. Busing is available from Ramapo Central and East Ramapo School districts.
RCC students who enroll their children may qualify for scholarships and subsidies for child care tuition, making it very affordable.
