SUNY Rockland's Teacher Education Program Offers Master's Degree through the College of New Rochelle

Fall classes begin September 4. Transcript evaluations for September enrollment are going on now through June 15

Suffern, NY - Students can obtain their master's in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education at SUNY Rockland through a program co-sponsored by the College of New Rochelle (CNR).

Transcript evaluation is now underway through June 15 for students interested in enrolling in the Fall '08 Master's Program. The dual Master's Program in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education is 42 credits and is designed specifically for those who have a bachelor's in a field of study other than education.

Classes begin September 4and meet every Thursday evening, 6:00 - 9:45 p.m., and occasional Sundays, 10:00 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. at Rockland Community College on 145 College Road, Suffern. The cost of the CNR Master's Program on the campus of SUNY Rockland is $1,310 for each 3-credit graduate course, a considerable discount over enrolling in the program at the New Rochelle campus.

Students have access to a complete pathway to teacher education at SUNY Rockland. After earning an associate's degree at RCC, they can stay on campus and earn a bachelor's in Liberal Studies through SUNY Purchase, and then earn New York State Teacher Certification at SUNY Rockland through the Master's Program.
