SUNY Rockland Community College Appoints Director of Distance Learning and Instructional Technology

 

 

Suffern, NY - SUNY Rockland Community College has appointed Ms. Lilia Juele to the position of Director of Distance Learning and Instructional Technology.

 

Juele is responsible for the growth and development of the College's distance learning program, including online, and hybrid (a combination of online and in-class work) delivery modes of instruction. The position will administer courses developed through the SUNY Learning Network (SLN) and support faculty in their efforts to convert traditional courses or develop new course material for distance learning modes.

 

Prior to her appointment at RCC, Juele, a resident of Bronxville, NY, served as Director of Distance Education at the Community College of Philadelphia and preceding that, was the Director of Distance Learning Program at Monroe College, New York City. Juele is a member of the New York State Education Department Distance Education Task Force and a member of the Institutional Capability Review team for the New York State Department of Education.

 

Juele earned a Master of Education in Instructional Technology and Media from Teachers College, Columbia University, an M.B.A. from the Ateneo de Manila University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing and Management from the Lyceum of the Philippines.
