SUNY Rockland Community College Kicks Off
50th Anniversary Celebrations With Convocation

 

All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise specified

 

Suffern, NY - Join Rockland Community College's Golden Anniversary celebrations from September 2009 through August 2010 with more than 50 events including music, art, theater, alumni gatherings, heritage celebrations and arena expos.

 

Rockland residents, plus the 34,000 alumni residing all over the world, are invited to visit the campus this year to join in celebrating all RCC has to offer.

Welcome Address: Dr. Nancy L. Zimpher, Chancellor of the State University of New York (SUNY). On June 1, 2009, Dr. Nancy L. Zimpher became the 12th SUNY Chancellor. A dynamic, nationally recognized educational leader, Chancellor Zimpher is the first woman to be named chancellor in SUNY’s 60-year history.

 

The Academic Convocation will bring together members of the College community and local, state and national dignitaries to honor the College's enduring commitment to excellence and diversity.
