at SUNY Rockland Community College
Suffern, NY - The Rockland Community College student group, Gay/Straight Alliance, is giving a staged reading of "The Laramie Project."
Thursday, March 18, 5:30 p.m.
Cultural Arts Theater

The RCC Gay/Straight Alliance is giving a staged reading of "The Laramie Project,” a play about the 1998 murder of University of Wyoming gay student, Matthew Sheppard, in Laramie, Wyoming. The murder is widely considered to be a hate crime. The play draws on interviews conducted with inhabitants of the town and published news reports. Running time is approximately 90 minutes. It will be followed by Q. & A. session. Half of the proceeds will be donated to the Matthew Sheppard Foundation.
