Rockland County Clerk to Swear in 150 New Citizens

Rockland County Clerk Paul Piperato to Swear in 150 New Citizens at
Naturalization Ceremony On Sunday 10/18/09 At Rockland Community College Fieldhouse

 

Rockland County Clerk Paul Piperato will host a naturalization ceremony on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 12:00 noon, at the Rockland Community College Fieldhouse, Suffern.

 

Piperato will administer the Oath of Allegiance to 150 new citizens from 48 different countries.

 

Rockland Community College president Cliff L. Wood, Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef and United States Congressman Eliot L. Engel will offer welcoming remarks.

 

The keynote speaker will be New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli, and Hon. Robert Berliner will serve as the officiating judge.

 

Rockland Community College students will participate in the ceremony with several vocal, dance and poetry performances. The public is invited to attend.
