Volunteers Receive White House President's Volunteer Service Awards
Suffern, NY - Approximately 150 volunteers of the SUNY Rockland Community College Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) will receive the White House President's Volunteer Service Award.
Distinguished members of the community will present the White House President’s Volunteer Service Award from the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation at a ceremony held on Wednesday, March 5, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Spring Valley campus auditorium, located at 185 North Main Street.
Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef and other County government representatives, along with RCC President, Dr. Cliff L. Wood, will be on hand to honor these dedicated men and women for their generous donation of time and energy to the non-profit community of Rockland County.
The type of award is determined by the number of RSVP volunteer hours: Bronze (100-249 hours), Silver (250-499 hours), Gold (500+ hours), and Lifetime Award (4,000 hours).
Lifetime award winners are:
