Parents Resource Center Coming Soon to the SUNY Rockland Community College Spring Valley Extension Center
Interested Parents Should Contact Center Now to Receive Invitation to Open House and Get on Mailing List
Suffern, NY - TRACS (Together Reaching Academic & Community Success), a parent resource center, is coming soon to the SUNY Rockland Community College Spring Valley extension center located on 185 North Main Street. The Center hopes to open its doors at the end of March and is encouraging parents of children K-12 to contact them now to get on the mailing list.
The mission of TRACS, a cooperative program co-sponsored by THE CEJJES INSTITUTE and Rockland Community College, is to help parents take charge and become active participants in their children’s academic and social endeavors in and out of school. TRACS will equip parents, through seminars and workshops, with the tools and county resources necessary to enable them to educate, support, and advocate for their children.
The CEJJES Institute is a cultural, educational, and research foundation dedicated to improving the educational and social conditions for all disenfranchised people. The Institute has a particular emphasis on the lives of children of color.
