Improve Interviewing Skills
Career Services Center also provides employers free access to resumes and job postings
Suffern, NY - "Interview Skills," the new, short video produced by Rockland Community College, gives practical tips to job applicants, including the importance of never criticizing former employers.
"Speaking negatively about a former employer gives the interviewer the impression the candidate may be difficult to work with," said Dick Avazian, President of National Field Service Corporation, a Suffern personnel consulting and placement firm. "I was very impressed with the RCC video on interviewing strategies. Following all the points will help a candidate avoid a mistake, which could reduce his chances of obtaining a position."
The "Interview Skills" video was produced by the College’s Career Services Center and Multi-Media Production Center. It can be viewed at: www.sunyrockland.edu/go/careers(scroll to bottom of page for direct link to "Interview Skills Video").
Aside from helping RCC students with career counseling, employment and internships, the Career Services Center is also a resource designed to allow employers, students and alumni to interact directly with one another.
Employers can post local jobs, internships, and information about their company directly from their office at no charge. Students can submit their resumes, browse employers, set favorites, apply online, and use many other features from the comfort of their home.
