International Thanksgiving Luncheon
International Students at SUNY Rockland Community College
Enjoy Thanksgiving Luncheon Today
Suffern, NY - SUNY Rockland Community College will host its 22nd Thanksgiving Luncheon for International Students on Wednesday, November 18, Noon, in the Student Union, Room 3114 on the first floor, on the main campus in Suffern.
The luncheon provides 200 international students, representing 50 countries, an opportunity to learn about American customs and share in the Thanksgiving tradition. This year the largest representation of international students at the College is from Asia, especially Japan and Korea.
The event is geared specifically to students who have come here from abroad to study, rather than students who have emigrated to the U.S. A full turkey dinner will be prepared by students in the College’s Hospitality Program.
The holiday fare is provided by funds from Paragon Federal Credit Union. DeCicco Family Markets will once again donate the turkeys for the Thanksgiving meal. For further information, contact Maria Dell’Arciprete, Coordinator of International Student Services, at (845) 574 - 4263 or Kim Sojak at (845) 574 - 4527.
