High School Students Invited to Compete in RCC-TV Video Festival

High School Students Invited to Compete in the Rockland Community College
RCC-TV Annual Video Festival
Submission deadline: 4/1/09
Suffern, NY - Media professionals will judge student-produced videos at SUNY Rockland Community College’s second annual RCC-TV Video Festival.
Videos ranging from 60 sec. - 12 min. will be viewed and winners announced on April 23, 7:00 p.m. at the Cultural Arts Theater, Rockland Community College, 145 College Road, Suffern. RCC Hospitality students will serve homemade desserts following the program.
RCC-TV and the Performing Arts Department are co-producing the event. The videos will be shown by categories, which include:
Short Film
Music Video
Animation
Comedy
News Story
PSA (Public Service Announcement)
Commercial
Documentary
Prizes awarded in each category for RCC students, who will also compete for the grand prize, a 32" Sharp Aquos LCD HD-TV.
High schools that have made arrangements to compete are Suffern, Nyack, BOCES, Clarkstown South and Ramapo. The high schools will compete against each other with the top school receiving a trophy and the student winners, a $50 Apple gift card.
The judges are former SUNY Rockland students now working in the media industry as well as a recent graduate of SUNY Rockland and RCC-TV. Judges include:
