$65,000 in Scholarships Awarded

Suffern, NY - Freshman scholarship recipients will be recognized by the Rockland Community College Foundation Scholarship Committee at a reception on Wednesday, October 14, 5 p.m., in the Student Union, Room 3214.

Scholarships totaling $65,000 were awarded to incoming students from area public and private high schools. Students of any age, whether they were just graduating from high school or were adults wishing to enter college, were eligible to apply.

Twenty-five scholarships were available, including many for full tuition for two years, a $6,800 value. The scholarships, which were made available by the Rockland Community College Foundation, were for children of alumni, minorities, art students, nursing students, honor students and more.
